Ejercito, Poe, Carpio, Duterte Youth back Querubin’s Senate bid

MANILA—Independent senatorial candidate Ariel Querubin continues to gain broad support from political leaders and groups, making him a unifying candidate in the 2025 elections.

Senator JV Ejercito publicly endorsed Querubin yesterday, highlighting his military service and integrity.

“[Querubin] is a true-to-life hero, a Medal of Valor awardee, and a principled officer of the Armed Forces of the Philippines!” Ejercito said.

“Though running independent, I would say he is a deserving and a worthy candidate! I will support this fine soldier who has sacrificed his life, blood, sweat, and tears for our country,” Ejercito added.

Querubin has also received support from Senator Grace Poe, former Supreme Court Justice Antonio Carpio, and the Duterte Youth Party-list in recent months.

“This guy is a hero. Nothing against him in terms of corruption or anything. We know him as a man of integrity. He laid his life several times for the republic,” Carpio said in an interview with journalist Christian Esguerra.

The Duterte Youth Party-list also expressed its backing for Querubin.

“Kesa kurakot at trapo na sikat, mas pinipili namin yung mga may paninindigan at pinapaniwalaan Para Sa Bayan!” the group stated.

The Duterte Youth Party-list, which has endorsed nine PDP senatorial candidates, included Querubin among its additional picks to complete a 12-candidate slate, recognizing his military service and dedication to the country.
