More public figures back Querubin’s Senate bid

Independent senatorial candidate Ariel Querubin continues to gain endorsements from public figures and political leaders ahead of the May 2025 elections, with support recently coming from actor Derek Ramsay, former COMELEC commissioner Rowena Guanzon, Senator Alan Peter Cayetano, and education advocate Carl Balita.

“I really admire your love for the country. I really, really wish and pray na makapasok ka po sa Senado. We need leaders like you, we need people like you, para mabalik ang pride ng Pilipinas,” Ramsay said on Saturday.

Senator Alan Peter Cayetano joined in endorsing Querubin after seeing fellow senators express support.


“Two senators endorse Ariel Querubin. So tiningnan ko, Senator [Grace] Poe and Senator JV [Ejercito], so nagpost ako—gawin mo nang tatlo,” Cayetano said.


“Maayos na tao yan. Very effective, efficient… Mas diplomatic pa sakin yan si Ariel Querubin,” Cayetano added, referencing his time as Foreign Affairs Secretary.

Former COMELEC commissioner Rowena Guanzon also voiced her backing.


“Idagdag pa natin ang Bayaning Tunay,” Guanzon said.


Education advocate Carl Balita endorsed Querubin at a recent event.

“Bilang anak ho ng pulis, Col. Querubin, itataas ko ang kamay mo Col. Number 52,” Balita said.


Ariel Querubin is a retired Marines officer and a Medal of Valor awardee, the Armed Forces of the Philippines’ highest military award.

Senators Grace Poe and JV Ejercito, former Supreme Court Justice Antonio Carpio, and the Duterte Youth Party-list have also recently expressed support for Querubin’s Senate bid.
