QUEZON CITY—Independent senatorial candidates Ariel Querubin and Rep. Bonifacio Bosita visited the Balintawak Public Market to hear firsthand the concerns of vendors and consumers struggling with rising prices.

Querubin, a Medal of Valor awardee and former Marine officer, stressed the need for stronger enforcement against economic sabotage, particularly targeting hoarders and smugglers.

Querubin vowed to take decisive action if elected.

“Ito yung tutukan natin. Hahabulin natin [itong mga smugglers at hoarders],” Querubin declared.

Bosita, meanwhile, added that inefficiencies in the agricultural sector and supply shortages contribute to the problem.
