CEBU—Independent senatorial candidate Ariel Querubin campaigned in Lapu-Lapu City on Friday, sharing his experiences as a soldier and calling for an end to corruption.
Querubin, a retired Marine colonel and Medal of Valor awardee, reflected on his time in combat, expressing frustration over violence between fellow Filipinos.

Querubin reiterated that he sees corruption as the root of conflict and poverty and stressed the need for reforms.

Querubin is running as an independent in the May 2025 midterm elections, campaigning on a platform centered on anti-corruption, public service reform, and national unity.
