MANILA—Senatorial candidate and Medal of Valor awardee Ariel Querubin called for unity among political leaders to address pressing issues during his speech at the Vice Mayors’ League event held yesterday at Century Park Hotel, Manila.
“Why can’t we all sit down and settle all our differences? We have common enemies,” Querubin said.

Querubin stressed that political divisions weaken the country’s position in defending its sovereign rights in the West Philippine Sea.
Querubin also pointed out that utilizing the West PhSea’sine Sea’s resources could help lower fuel prices and boost the country’s economy.
Having patrolled the West Philippine Sea early in his military career, Querubin emphasized that the Philippines must assert its sovereign rights and protect its natural resources for the benefit of all Filipinos.

The event was also attended by Senator Bong Go and senatorial bet Philip Salvador.
