SINILOAN, LAGUNA—Independent senatorial candidate Ariel Querubin called on government employees to uphold honesty and reject corruption during the flag-raising ceremony at the Siniloan Municipal Hall on March 3.
Querubin, a retired Marine officer and Medal of Valor awardee, emphasized that public service is a duty that requires integrity, reminding government officials that corruption hinders national progress.
“Binubulsa lang ng mga magnanakaw yung pondo. Hindi tayo makagawa ng magandang daan na farm-to-market roads kasi ganun ulit, binubulsa nila,” he said.

He also pointed to recent cases of poor infrastructure due to alleged corruption.
“[Itong] nangyari sa Isabela, last week lang, bumagsak yung bagong gawa na tulay. Di ho ba, [baka] corruption ulit? Yan ang tanong. Dahil ba sa corruption?” Querubin asked.
Querubin, who has built his campaign on anti-corruption and good governance, reiterated his strong stance against dishonest public officials.
“Yan po ang dahilan kung bakit galit na galit po yung Ariel Querubin sa mga corrupt na tao, sa mga magnanakaw,” he declared.
Querubin also made a courtesy call to Mayor Patrick Ellis Go to discuss his good governance advocacy.
