MANILA—Independent senatorial candidate Ariel Querubin visited barangay officials and residents in Tondo on Friday to hear their concerns and discuss how national policies can address local needs.
Querubin, a retired Marine officer and Medal of Valor awardee, emphasized the importance of tailoring platforms to the realities on the ground.

“Yung ibang kandidato, mayroon silang plataporma na sasabihin. Nakakalungkot lang kasi yung plataporma nila [madalas] hindi man angkop sa kaharap nila,” Querubin said.
Querubin added that he wants to learn directly from the people.

“Gusto kong malaman ano ba ang pwedeng magawa nung Senador Ariel Querubin kung papalarin tayo. Ano ba ang pwede kong maiabot na tulong aside from [our platform] na busog na tiyan, edukasyong dekalidad, at trabaho at sapat na kita,” Querubin said.
